Mustard Gas
Sarin
VX
Proposal
Blister, blood nerve, and choking agents are dangerous things that need to be understood, so that their effects can be prevented.  Blister agents are agents, which cause blisters on the skin, damage to the respiratory tract eyes and mucous membranes.  Examples of these include mustard gas and lewisite.  Choking agents are substances that damage the respiratory tract, causing extensive fluid build-up in the lungs, ex. chlorine.  Nerve agents are lethal substances that disable enzymes responsible for the transmission of nerve impulses; examples of these dangerous chemicals would be VX and sarin. Blood agents are agents that interfere with the oxygen absorption into the blood stream (ex. hydrogen cyanide).  There is very little difference between the short and long term effects of the chemical and biological weapons, as even the short term events would be just short of an apocalyptic event.
