1: The age limit for this RPG is 13 years or older by the date you apply.
2: Players are allowed up to 2 Characters but they cannot be on the same team.
3: Players who are new to this kind of Play by E-Mail RPG will start out as Base Staff as well as anyone else that hasn�t been put on a team as yet.
4: Each Character belongs solely to the player. If you feel you do not want to continue in this game, all Pictures and Biographies will be deleted from our files and the web site.
5: As this is a military project, only military characters will hold the positions of CO, XO, or 2IC. The CO and XO positions are for Commissioned Officers only. The 2IC position is for either Commissioned or Enlisted Officers. The CO positions are picked solely by the GM's. Most XO's and 2IC's are picked by the Team CO's, and if not then by the GM's.
6: All military enlisted characters will start out as E-5s in their relative Military Branch:
US Army is Sergeant (SGT)
USAF is Staff Sergeant (SSgt)
USMC is Sergeant (Sgt)
US Navy is Petty Officer Second Class (PO2) depending on their M.O.S.
All military officer characters will start out as O-1s in their relative Military Branch. All CO characters will start out as either Captains (O-3) or 1st Lieutenants (O-2). XO characters will be 1st Lieutenants (O-2) or 2nd Lieutenants (O-1).
2IC characters will be start out as E-6 or 2nd Lieutenants (O-1).
E-6 titles are as follows:
US Army is Staff Sergeant (SSG)
USAF is Technical Sergeant (TSgt)
USMC is Staff Sergeant (SSgt),
US Navy is Petty Officer First Class (PO1)
Civilian Characters will start at Government Pay Grade GS-9 with full College PhD., or GS-8 if still attending College or Dropped out.
All alien characters will have to be approved by ALL of the active GMs.
7: Promotions will be giving in place of awards. The other players will grade you on the quality of your posts, (i.e. do you play well with the other players in the game, do you contribute to the mission a lot, do you take orders well from the CO's, XO's, or 2IC's of your team?). Quantity will help too, if you are trying for a second character. But you will not get ahead if there is no quality to the posts as well.
8: All posts must be written in 3rd person, past tense. No other form will be accepted. So please make all your posts read as it would in a book or magazine. And please keep all content to PG-13 level. We do have Kids on the game.
9: CO's are in charge of ALL missions. Someone else may offer a mission suggestion, but it is solely up to the Team CO whether to accept it or not.
10: Please let the GMs and your team know if you are going to be gone for any length of time.
11: Team sizes are a minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 or 6 members depending on CO's preference.
12: If you have a problem with another player on your team, try to deal with it off list. If the problem continues bring it to the attention of your team CO. If the problem is the CO, bring the problem to the attention of the GM's. We will remedy the problem as we see fit.
13: If you are found to be the problem of a dispute, for your first offence, you will be e-mailed by your Team CO (or GM's if you are the CO) telling you to try to fix the problem you are causing or comprimise. If you persist, the GM's will put you on moderation for your 2nd offence. And if you have a 3rd offence you will be removed from the game. There is no reason people should have any problems. But if they do this is what will happen.
14: There will be no interaction between the player's characters and SG1, and no one on the teams shall know any member of SG-1 personally, either in the past, future, or in former lives. References to them and their exploits are to be kept to a minimum, and should only refer to canon events, i.e. things that happened in the episodes that the entire base would know about. The only exception is where our game diverges from canon as stated above.
