The Reason School Programs Don�t Matter
My belief is obviously school programs hold no importance in society. I�m not saying your grades don�t matter, because trust me, they do. I just believe programs like Honors Society, Soccer, Baseball, and such don�t matter. Lets take a look at Honors Society. It is useless. It just piles more and more work onto those insanely hard courses those people need to take to be in.
I choose not to be in those programs because I don�t need to prove I am intelligent. I would rather have classes I get to have same fun in, learn everything everyone else is learning, and get good grades in. The only thing Honors Society is after high school is two words on your resume. It is pitiful if anyone thinks more than that of Honors Society.
Now, onto sports. Sports actually have a practical use. Even if you aren�t great you will probably get into a college if you have a few years of a sport on your record. You may even get on a pro team. It�s highly doubtful, but still possible. Other than that you are still screwed. Sports aren�t steady.
You have a better chance arranging an internship and going everyday you would have had practice instead. You will be able to actually put something on your resume. If it deals with your profession your very well off. If you get into college on your own you will have more freedom. Take it from William Wallace. Freedom rules. Every other school program is so useless I wont even discuss them. Bye. |
