OWARAI (Japanese comedy) : DOWNTOWN, my personal favorite also, this duo is one of the few most successful in Japanese comedy entertainment. hide is a fan of Hitoshi Matsumoto (coincidentally the same last name) aka Macchan. They host a music variety show HEYx3 Music Champ which hide has appeared in.
CHILDHOOD DREAM : Doctor, beauty stylist (hair/makeup)
DESCRPTION : Former guitarist of X-Japan, disbanded in 1997, took his career as a solo artist. His pink hair and his outstanding talent in music and eccentric styles led him to become one of the most successful rock stars in music history. He was literally a Charisma. He was scheduled to make a debut in USA. He planned to perform an openning act for a Marilyn Manson concert in September 1998. But even before that he was part of a band called "Zilch". They were on their way to mainstream rock stars in USA. He graduated a make-up arts school in Hollywood.
His death is said to be of either accident or suicide. About 8:30 he was found lying against the door hung by a towel tied to the doorknob inside his bathroom. It was said that he came home drunk that morning.
Regardless of his decease, the popularity of hide's music has not gone down.
His music is still worshipped and heard all over Japan even today. His name still appears in magazines and there are even new singles released recently.
