Is American Idol anti-gay or not?
Unfortunately, this season's auditions haven't gone as smoothly as a Luther Vandross balled. Several times the show found itself accused of being insensitive toward gays, if not outright homophobic.

Simon Cowell insults everybody if they have no talent. Simon Cowell if nothing has been consistent over the years with respect to how he treats no talent losers who have deluded themselves into believing they can sing.
The blunt, sarcastic, caustic personality of Simon Cowell is one of the things that makes the show popular.
This show is about talent not your sexuality. That's all gay people do is complain about their rights and feelings.
Gay individuals need to shut up and be grateful that we live in the age of acceptance.
The more you guys open your mouths, the more the public wants to strangle you.
Who cares what GLAAD thinks. I am tired of these hyper sensitive pro-gay groups trying to impose their agenda down Americans throats. Anyway, Simon and Randy are only saying what a lot of people are thinking. If GLAAD doesn't like it then they can protest outside the studio.
The organizations that support homosexuality have become the new cultural fascists of our era, goose-stepping their way over the free speech of anyone who does not embrace their perversions.
Private, subjective contests run by judges can deem any behavior they see fit offensive and throw the contestant out. If the gays don't like it, they can start their own gay idol. I'm sure that will get a big draw.
If I were gay and saw those two clowns, I would complain about how stupid they make homosexuals look instead of crying racism.
Homosexuality is more than a powerful socialist-based lobby... it is the manifestation of one or more severely debilitating psychological disorders. Suffers tend to be highly delusional, thinking that their behaviors are somehow acceptable or even noble. And they also tend to believe they have superior talents when they, in actuality, have none. This is a recurring theme on American Idol.
For much of this century, homosexuality was defined by the medical and scientific community as a psychiatric disorder. In the last several decades, however, "homosexuality" has been removed from the diagnostic manual of disorders.
Does anyone else agree it is time to put it back as it was?
Political correctness is fascism. This is simply more political posturing, and an attempt to normalize their disgusting lifestyle. It's really no one's business, so when they don't get the response they want, they cry "Homophobia". The fact that most people are repulsed by the thought of what they do, it would serve them better to stop the "Look at me, I'm gay" crap, and keep it to themselves. Homosexuality is not a race of people, it is a sexual perversion. I do not hate gay people, nor am I scared of them. I simply recognize that they are sexually confused. Most people don't care for their AIDS infested lifestyle or want their families exposed to it.
I would like to clear up a commonly misused term... "Homophobia". Homophobia means fear of homosexuals.
I don't think fear is the word... Disgust or disapproval are closer to the real disposition.
I'm still waiting on that evidence that homosexuality is genetic and not a choice.
Review the published research purporting that homosexuality is genetically based. It is not! That is a fallacy! The research studies have countless flaws including limited subjects and investigator bias. Most importantly, these studies only showed a correlation in between sexual preference and the size of a specific part of the brain. This correlation did not take into account other confounding variables which interfere with any analysis and data conclusions. Correlation does not prove cause and effect. Sadly the vast majority of the American public does not understand this principle.
What may help you is looking at what percentage of homosexual men had their first homosexual experience when they were young and molested. You will find that this is the case for the majority of homosexuals.
As for homosexuality being a sin, it is. Read the Bible. Perhaps you aren't a Christian. Read your holy book. Or did you found or join a new religion which makes it ok? It still doesn't change God's mind.
This is nothing more than just another publicity stunt for GLAAD. It is obviously a ridiculous claim, and will fizzle out in no time. The only thing I see here is a pathetic minority group with no credibility.
Guest workers under the new immigration bill
The conservative Heritage Foundation released a paper by Rober Rector, its senior research fellow in domestic policy studies. Rector warned that the administration-supported bill pending in the Senate would admit an unprecedented 103 million people over the next 20 years.
The bill supposedly would protect American workers by ensuring that new immigrants would not take away jobs. However, the bill's definition of "United States worker" includes temporary foreign guest workers, so the protection is meaningless.
Foreign guest workers, admitted under the bill, cannot be "terminated from employment by any employer... except for just cause." In contrast American ag workers can be fired for any reason.

It's obvious that Mexicans have incriminating photos of EVERY politician in the USA.
10% of the population of Mexico is now living in the US. Congress wants to make them all citizens overnight, even though they probably don't speak english, they don't know anything about American history and they don't understand our culture.
When is the last time any nation granted 10% of the population of another country full rights of citizenship? Do you want 10 million voters voting in our elections for matters that are in the best interest of Mexico and not for the best interest of the United States?
With the new bill 103 million people would be flooding in America over the next 20 years. It took us over 200 years to get to 300 million. And now in a tenth of the time we are getting over a third more.

Student lays out criticisms at high school graduation
Aspiring trial lawyer Kyle Stublen just wanted to share his version of the truth with classmates, teachers and thousands of people at Charlotte High School's graduation.
The A student delivered a scathing, ironic speech devoid of the sheen decorating most high school graduations. It wasn't the speech he had submitted in a contest to win the honor to speak at graduation.
His speech spurred demands for apologies.

Kid, you're graduating from high school, not bible camp. The teachers and students already realize these issues exist. Most parents also realize these issues exist; they just don't think their child is part of it. And they still don't either. They're just glad their kid wasn't the asshole that ruined the ceremony.
There is a time and place for revealing ugly, profound truths. A high school graduation is not one of them. Yes, some people cheated and probably don't deserve their diploma. Despite a few bad eggs, however, I'm sure there are many students who worked hard to graduate. These kids (and their families) deserve a day where they can celebrate and enjoy their successes. It doesn't matter if the wrong kids are celebrated. After all, for some of the kids, this is the last graduation they will ever have.
If he really had balls, he would have submitted the speech he intended to do instead of resorting to subterfuge. The "exclusive cliques" line showed his true colors, bitter nerd because none of the pretty girls would go out with him.
People lie, cheat, and steal to get to the top.
It sucks to see people glide by you on the way to the top on nothing but lies and the sweat of other people. But that's life. I doubt you find many CEO's who made it any other way.
Also, LOL at the "aspiring trial lawyer" thing. a) Wow, what an aspiration, and b) if he wants to be a trial lawyer and derides people who lie, cheat, and steal... well, he's not going to have a very successfull career as one.
You are incorrectly labeling the entire student body as druggies, felons, and cheaters. That's notoriously unfair to the majority of the student body who did work hard and graduate, and just wanted to celebrate their accomplishment.

I can just imagine the twisted look of disgust on the parent's faces; the absolute anger and outrage that he dare disrupt "my precious baby's" graduation by bringing up uncomfortable criticisms. Graduation is all about self-fellating, and this kid killed all of their boners.
But Stublen described a school where students stole tests, sports were more important that academics, and guidance counselors encouraged some students not to apply to college... Sounds like the school is doing a great job preparing the students for the real world.

Nagin wins re-election
Mayor Ray Nagin, whose shoot-from-the-hip style was both praised and scorned after Hurricane Katrina, narrowly won re-election over Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu in the race to oversee one of the biggest rebuilding projects in U.S. history.

Report: 48 Million refuse to buckle up
About 48 million people do not regularly put on seat belts when they are on the road, a figure the government's highway safety agency hopes to lower with an annual public education campaign.

Most of the people I see not wearing a seatbelt have those jebus fish magnets and a bumper sticker that reads, "God is my co-pilot".
While I agree it is stupid to ride without a seatbelt, I resent the government telling me I have to wear one, or they will slap me with some silly fine.
I also hate their intimidating PSAs telling me to "buckle up or pay up". Good to know our cops are too preoccupied with writing seatbelt tickets to enforce more important laws. The police have become less about public safety and more about revenue for the state. v
It's a bit like the argument smokers use for causing damage to other people around them. "Durr... it's my right to smoke around, and poison, other people". You sometimes need a law to (attempt to) ensure that ignorant dumbasses don't wantonly inflict their stupidity on the rest of the population.
If you don't wear your seatbelt, upon impact you become an incredibly heavy projectile capable of causing severe damage to yourself and to other people.
There is no good argument for not wearing one. Anyone who doesn't buckle up is just plain lazy and selfish.
Sex no longer sells
Beautiful models can be seen selling cars, computers and even the most mundane consumer goods. But does sex appeal really sell? At least one observer says it can have the opposite effect.

Maid cuts off employer's penis
Surgeons have reattached the penis of a Saudi man who paid the price for trying to have sex with his Filipina maid.
Earlier this month it was reported that the maid removed her employer's manhood after he tried to molest her in the middle of the night as his wife was sleeping. The maid is in police custody.

Under sha'ira law to prove rape you need two witnesses. Otherwise, no matter what the guy goes home free, and if there is no rape she can't prove self defense.
There was a case in Nigeria where a man raped a women, but because there weren't two witnesses he was acquitted, but then she was pregnant by her attacker she was immediately tried for adultery and sentenced to be stoned to death.
