Rapper Proof shot, killed at Detroit club

A prominent member of Detroit's hip-hop community was killed in a shooting at a Detroit night club early Tuesday morning. Rapper and producer Proof, whose real name is DeShaun Holton, was one of two shooting victims at the CCC Club.

Error put hardcore porn on cable access

Don and Terri Newbauer's daughter, Nicole, was flipping through the television channels on Saturday looking for channel 26.

Instead, she found hardcore pornography on Adelphia Cable's public access Channel 2, which generally airs videotapes provided by individuals or community groups.

"It was disgusting. It was the hardest core stuff I've ever seen" said Don Newbauer.

Terri Newbauer recorded some of what aired and then called police.

More Immigrants take to streets to protest proposed laws

As many as 100 cities across the country served as hosts Monday to rallies and protests against any get-tough measures federal lawmakers are considering to crack down on illegal immigration.

Editor Comment: I read some of them are protesting a bill that would require people to prove their citizenship before getting state benefits. Why is it so unspeakable to actually require that you be a citizen to get benefits meant for citizens of this country.

I have no comprehension of how you can justify giving benefits meant for tax-paying citizens of this country to illegals.

Illegals are a net drain on the economy. They don't pay taxes and they drain on social services and tighten the low wage job market for poor Americans. Vincente Fox is pawning off his problems on us while encouraging wealthy Americans to come south of the border. The people that favor tolerance of illegal immigration are either Big Business, politicians looking for votes or dopes that cry a tear for the cute Mexican children they show on the news. I don't blame them for wanting to be here but we have a process they should follow instead of sneaking in.

If life is so bad in Mexico, why don't they bitch to the Mexican government?

Illegal immigrants and amnesty will destroy the United States faster than Iran's nuclear program!

Only citizens have a right to be in the country. Legal immigrants are enjoying a privilege, not exercising a right. Illegal immigrants are criminals who have broken the law.

If a person is here illegally they should have no right to anything except a boot back to Mexico.

the only viable solution is for people who want to live in a society like the United States is to create it where they live. I wish them a successful revolution if that's what it comes to.



Baptist school ousts gay student

A Lafayette High School graduate has been kicked out of the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg because he wrote on a personal Web page that he is gay.

Any student who engages in or promotes sexual behavior not consistent with Christian principles (including sex outside marriage and homosexuality) may be suspended or asked to withdraw from the University.

"At the University of the Cumberland, we hold students to a higher standard. Students know the rules before they come to this institution. We've followed our policies and procedures in keeping with our traditional denominational beliefs.

One of Johnson's close friends said some students will not be afraid to express their outrage.

"They're already printing T-shirts that say 'Jesus loves gay people, too,"

Fist flattens would-be carjacker

Ordered to give up his keys, an Arlington man takes matters into his own hands.

The bad guy ended up with a fist to the face and a trip to jail.

"He told me to give him the keys or he was going to kill me," John said.

John moved his wife back.

"Give it a shot," he told the would be robber.

Bystanders urged the men to quit fighting. John stopped. He was floored when the man reached out to shake his had. "He said he hadn't had his ass kicked that good in a while," John said.

"I prayed fot the guy last night," John said. "I think he needs help. Hopefully he gets it and he can turn his life around.

That article made my head hurt.

I knew when I finished the article that the writer had to be a woman.

The author of this article obviously never saw "Pete and Tilly." The film featured a naked Walter Matthau playing the piano.

All 3 Terminator movies have fanny shots. But unfortunately, T3 didn't have enough of the T-X/Terminatrix.

The pole-dancing scene in True Lies was one of the best parts of the film.

The point of Weaver's panty scene in Alien was so that you wouldn't notice the dude in the alien suit, who was clearly visible under the console. It obviously did the intended job of distracting everyone.

Kevin Bacon's bits in Hollow Man through the Infa Red was disturbing.

The Matrix: Reloaded. Boring as hell nude scene and Keanu's bare ass. Nobody needed to see that, well nobody needed to see that pile of a movie anyway but there you go.
