ABSTRACT

This project is a study of unconfined compressive strength of  Supanburi  saline  soil , saline soil with Portland cement type 1 and saline  soil  with Portland cement type 1
and Renolith. The  ratio of cement added is 7  percent , 10 percent and  13 percent of dry saline soil weight . The  ratio of Renolith added at 3 percent , 6 percent and 9 percent 
of cement weight at curing time of the mixture is 7 days , 14 days and 28 days. The saline soil at salinity of 0.2 ms/cm , 5.5 ms/cm and 18 ms/cm has been tested by optimum
moisture content (O.M.C.), The results of all specimens of the 7 day-curing is shown that the unconfined compressive strength of saline soil at salinity of 0.2 ms/cm , 5.5 ms/cm
and 18 ms/cm is 7.78 ksc , 10.7 ksc and 5.45 ksc respectively. The strength of unimproved specimens will not meet the standard of the Highway Department (17.5 ksc) and
improved specimens meet that of the Highway Department.
