God's Plan for Salvation

As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one;"

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace.

Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council. [Jesus said to him,] "You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.'"

Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken you stand. By this gospel you are SAVED, if you hold firmly the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

"I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins."

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be SAVED. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are SAVED.

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
