Q. Why not just have another child?
A. We had great difficulty conceiving, carrying, and delivering our one son. We do not want to risk Mom's or an infant's life again. Not to mention the age gap would be too large. We decided it would be best to adopt an older child that is closer in age to our son.

Q. Why international adoption, why not domestic/local?
A. Good question. We have tried to look locally, but [please don't take this the wrong way], the kids are not what we are looking for. We are not treating this like we are shopping at Walmart or anything by no means. We seriously looked at our life and what we feel comfortable with as far as any disabilities, or other problems go. We feel that we are better off going with an international adoption. Not to mention that the child we are interested in could pass as a biological brother to our son by his pictures. We are not ashamed to adopt, or anything like that. We do realize that we are not superheroes either and can identify with our personal weaknesses, and boundaries as far as what we are willing to accept. This child that we have picked out is not without problems. His problems are, so we believe, within our comfort level. We also found out that his twin younger brothers were adopted by another American family, so we may be able to get and stay in contact with them, so when he is older if he wants to try to find is biological family we can help him.

Q. What are you doing to help yourself with the cost?
A. We are trying to save where we can as well. There are smaller incidental costs involved with getting birth certificates, etc that we are bearing ourselves as the need arises. We do however need great help as some of the costs are thousands of dollars due all at once. If you can help please do and send some money. We are also lining up several other fundraisers locally to help raise the necessary money.

Q. Why not get a loan?
A. We do not want, nor can we get a loan to cover this cost. For one the payback would be huge, second, the payments would take away our available cash to provide everyday for our new child. We will do what we have to get the money for this, that is why we did this web site. We are counting on the kindness of strangers to help a family save an orphan.

Q. How will you communicate with this child?
A. We have found several free web sites out there that teach the Russian language. We have been printing off pages and listening to sound bites trying to learn. We will also be going to the public library to get tapes and books on the Russian language. We want to do everything we can to make this transition easy for the child. Of course he will learn English.

Q. How do we know you are not just looking for free money?
A. It is a trust thing. We are truly trying to raise the money to adopt this child. We will post the totals that we have and what is donated. We will also post the expenses that we incur as we go along the process. Please trust us and please help us.

Q. Will you date/sleep/pose nude for money?
A. NO! We are a family. We do not sell sex or nude pictures for money. Besides you don't want to see any of us naked!!!! :o)

Q. Do you know there are typos on your web pages?
A. There probably are. Mom is the web coder of the family. She codes by hand and the only thing worse than her spelling is her typing, so be kind, be gentle and over look the typos. The content is what is important here. Please help us.
