Mom, Dad, and
biological Son (7 years old), that is who we are. Mom and Dad have been married 12 years. We were considered infertile since we had not been able to conceive a child in 5 years with no protection. It was a difficult and long road to conceive our son, not as hard as many out there, but difficult none the less. The pregnancy took its toll on Mom, and it was very rough going, the delivery was also. We decided not to try to conceive another child.
We are a loving family, living in central Pennsylvania. Mom works outside the home in a professional job. Dad is disabled due to a diformed hip (he still gets around ok). He is a stay at home dad and takes on the 'Mr. Mom' duties. Biological Son is a smart healthy boy, that just passed the first grade. He is lonely for someone else to play with. He often askes us for a brother. We have realized we made a mistake by not trying to have another child shortly after having him, but with everything we went through just to get him, we just couldn't do it again. We realize by having another child now would not solve our problem (too large of an age gap for our preference), so we decided to persue adoption of an older child, but yet still younger than biological son. This will give him someone to play with permenanty and provide him with a life long sibling that is close to his age. We are financially secure enough to support another child in everyday living, but not well off enough to cover the adoption process cost. This is where you can help. If you can spare a dollar or more to help this worthy cause, we would be so very happy. We can not offer you anything in return except our heartfelt thanks. Your money gift IS tax deductible since we are using a no-profit adoption agency. The whole international adoption process (adoption/medical/visa/passports/court fees/travel expenses/etc) costs about $35,000. Yes that is a large amount, that is why we made this web site. If you can help us please do. We are not asking you to help pay off self-inflicted debt (in fact we just shelled out $500 to the local hospital for a bill, and over $2000 for a new transmission for mom's vehicle). We are asking for help to bring a helpless orphan to the United States and give him a loving home with a mom, dad, and older brother who so desperately want him. We cast aside all our pride, as we humbly ask for your help.
