I have decided to make a 6-string bass.I didn't have any idea what to do, but i knew that i don't yet have a 6-string bass, although i know i don't need more than 4 strings. So to be creative, i named this bass after my 4th bass .."project gothic", for whom the inspiration were the shapes and curves taken from a book of gothic cathedrals.Firstly i wanted to make a musicman stingray, but i haven't found any cheap donour who would sell me an OLP MM bass guitar at a reasonable price. (i need it for the hardware). But will be done later when the donour is found. So here it goes.
First the idea.... the head will be the same as on the project gothic. The list of things i brought home:
| Object | Measures | Wood |
| The neck | 120cm x 10cm x 4cm | combination of maple and african nut |
| Side A and Side B | 50cm x 20cm x 4cm | combination of maple and african nut |
| Fretboard | 50cm x 20cm x 0.5cm | one maple, one nut, i will decide later which one to use. |
Picture 1: the items

Picture 2 : so i started just with the basic shape drawing.I've moved a little bit away from the original idea, on the paper, but some lines are the same.
Picture 3: drawing and drilling the holes for the cables and instalation:

Picture 4: The looks of the key element for the truss-rod

Picture 5: fitting the iron bar into the newly drilled chanel in the neck.

Picture 6: I went to my neighbour to cut out some excess wood with his saw.I ussualy always take out the neck and the head.

Picture 7: Cutting out the "later-hard to manouver" wood parts out of the bass guitar sides

Picture 8: and putting the sides together, after measuring out the holes for the cables which i have drilled on the both sides.I have helped myself with a pair of nails on each side of the neck, so that the sides doesn't slide away.
