Albums:
YES (1969)
First album...Shows a great band in the making! The songs are shorter and contain many vocal harmonies that are led by Jon Anderson.
Time & A Word (1970)
YES became experimental and used an orchestra on this album. I really like the cover of the Richie Haven's song "No Opportunity Necessary No Experience Needed". Also the psychedelic "Astral Traveller" is a good song.
The YES Album (1971)
YES really hit the mark with this album. I enjoy the classic YES songs "Yours Is No Disgrace", "Starship Trooper", and "I've Seen All Good People". Steve Howe really shines on this album!
Fragile (1972)
This is the album that established YES as a great Prog band. Rick Wakeman and his flying fingers are great on "Heart of the Sunrise". They had a hit also with the song "Roundabout".
Close to the Edge (1972)
One of my top five favorite YES albums. I really love Jon's trippy and cosmic lyrics. "And You and I" will ALWAYS be my favorite YES song.
Tales from Topographic Oceans (1974)
Four twenty minute songs...A concept that most people do not understand! I think "The Revealing Science of God" and "The Ritual" are the best. All the songs are very moving!
Relayer (1974)
"The Gates of Delirium" is a work of art! And there is not a person that can deny that the section "Soon" moves them to tears...
Going for the One (1977)
Beginning to end this album is amazing. "Awaken" is one of the best songs YES ever wrote. AWAKEN GENTLE MASS TOUCH.
Tormato (1978)
A good concept...Good songs, but production/sound quality is not that great. "On the Silent Wings of Freedom" and "Onward" are nice songs though!
Drama (1980)
No Jon on this album, but Trevor Horn does his best to fill in. Great songs! "Machine Messiah" and "Tempus Fugit" are my favorites.
90125 (1983)
No one can deny how catchy this album is..I love it. And I love Trevor Rabin's guitar work on this album! If you like this album check out TR's "Can't Look Away".
Big Generator (1987)
This has never been one of my favorite YES albums, but "Shoot High Aim Low" is a GREAT song. "I am Running" is a very underrated YES song!
Anderson-Bruford-Wakeman-Howe (1989)
I really miss Chris Squire on this album...But I love all the work Rick Wakeman does! The band has some great harmonies on this album. "Order of the Universe" is my favorite.
Union (1991)
Half ABWH...Half YES West...VERY enjoyable to listen to and sing along with!
Talk (1994)
Trevor Rabin's BEST work right here! Endless Dream SHOULD be considered a Masterwork!
Open Your Eyes (1997)
This really sounds like a Chris Squire/Billy Sherwood album. I love the song "New State of Mind".
The Ladder (1999)
"Homeworld" is a great song! Alan White gives a little world music influence with the drums on this album...Especially on "Lightning Strikes".
Keystudio (2001)
This album is the new tracks off the Keys albums put together on one CD. "Mind Drive" and "That, That Is" are great long YES songs. Definitely Masterworks!

Stephanie's Story: Meeting YES
I had the honor of meeting the band on the YESYMPHONIC Tour! My Dream finally came true! I attended the Reno and Concord shows. While in Reno I took a walk over from the Silver Legacy to see where the venue was. I took a little peek in the glass door...And suddenly the door came open and a guy invited me in to look around. As I walked around the corner...THERE WAS YES! Rehearsing Close to the Edge! WOW! I took a seat and listened for a while. And had the chance to talk to a lot of other YES fans. On the way out I introduced myself to Jon and got a nice handshake. The concert was awesome and after I saw Tom Brislin, who is YES' keyboard player on the YESSYMPHONIC tour, step down from the stage. I decided to approach him and talk to him. I also got his autograph. He let me hang around for the After Show and I was able to get autographs from Jon, Chris, Steve, and Alan. They are all very nice people! I asked Tom that night if he thought he would be able to get me After Show passes for the Concord show also, but at that time he didn't know what he could do. So I gave him my e-mail. Sure enough...A few days before the show I got an e-mail from him and he left the passes at will-call under my name. THANKS TOM! YOU ROCK! I also got pre-show passes from my local classic rock radio station (www.1077thebone.com). I wrote to them and bugged them for weeks before the show...and finally they decided to just give me the passes! I think they realize how few teenage YES fans there are! I enjoyed the concert SO much...and meeting the band was amazing. Let's all work to keep the YES flame alive...
