Spock's Beard began in 1992 when brothers Neal and Alan Morse decided to start a band. They teamed up with Nick D'Virgilio on drums and self-financed their first album. Soon after bassist Dave Meros joined and they recorded "The Light" in 1994. Their debut album was loved by many progressive rock fans. In 1995, keyboardist Ryo Okumoto joined the band. The album "Beware of Darkness" was released in 1996. 1997 brought the album "The Kindness of Strangers". My favorite Spock's Beard album, "Day for Night", was released in 1999. Their most recent album "V" was released in 2000.
