Biography
My name is Stephanie. I am 16 years old and was born in Berkeley, CA on September 5, 1985. Many people are surprised that I like a band such as YES because of the fact that the majority of the fans are much older than I am. I first became interested in YES when I was 9 years old. I had hip surgery that year and I was home for a long time with not much to do (TV gets boring VERY quickly! You can only watch SO many episodes of Jerry Springer before the "bleep" noise drives you crazy!). I had heard a few songs by YES because my Dad liked them a lot. I thought "Roundabout" and "Starship Trooper" were cool songs. So I sat down near the YES CDs and popped in Close to the Edge. My first thought was "This is odd..." and next came "wow this guy has a high voice!". I soon came to love the angelic voice of Jon Anderson! The first time I heard the song "And You and I" I just loved it. And my love of YES started from there! Later on I found out that YES was put into a category of music called "progressive rock". I then began listening to other bands that were called "prog" and I fell in love with the music.
