Fate's Warning continue their exploration of riff-based prog-metal with their newest release 'Disconnected'. I've been a fan of F.W. for many years, all the way back when Jon Arch sang for them. They still have the ability to produce some of the most thought provoking material available.

I finally was able to get Explorer's Club: Age of Impact. I had heard the sound bites that Magna Carta had on their website, and it nearly drove me insane waiting until I could get a copy. Believe me, whatever the cost of the disc is; its money well spent. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

Drawing from such great bands as Spock's Beard, The Flower Kings, Marillion and Dream Theater. Transatlantic's debut CD 'SMPTe' is a prog tour-de force. My fave track off the disc is "My New World" which evokes thoughts of classic Genesis. I really dig Roine Stolt's "Steve Howe"-esque guitar work in the middle of the song. Their new album has been recorded and should be out soon.

"Images and Words" by Dream Theater. This recording still remains the best material they've ever recorded. They really touched on a sound with this one, and they still have yet to match it. 'Learning to Live' gives me chills!

People have raved over such Yes albums as Fragile, and Close to the Edge; but Going for the One released in 1977 is still my favorite album. I've never heard a more beautiful piece of music than the last track: "Awaken". All the elements that make a great progressive rock album are here. Check it out..... you're in for a treat!

This is the album that inspired me to pick up the bass. The things that floored me about this band was that not only did they produce so much sound, but they produced so many different sounds. And as just a three piece!!! This recording is still one of my favorites to listen to.
