Fingers and Thumb
THE THUMB is the most important finger, it is called the Finger of Uranus; it provides crucial definition of character. Flexibility, rather than shape is the key factor in thumb interpretation. There are flexible and inflexible thumbs and many types in-between. The more flexible the thumb is, the less flexible the person is, the less flexible the thumb the more flexible the person is! But beware to the thumb with the bulbous tip, it reveals a nasty, brutish nature.
If you have a short thumb, one that does not reach the bottom of the index finger, it is considered �short� you are short on will power and lack follow-through. You have a hard time making up your mind, are easy to get along with and are too compassionate and you need to learn to say �no�.
If you have a long thumb, one that reaches the mid-joint of the index finger, you have a strong ego. You like making people happy and never tire and tend to burn the candle at both ends. You are very independent due to your pride.
A short Finger of Jupiter, which would be shorter than the ring (third) finger means you prefer to follow than lead. You gain emotional satisfaction from being helpful to others and like feeling needed. You prefer not to be the center of attention or have too many responsibilities. You are very sensitive and can be easily hurt. Conservative, traditional, and spiritual, you tend to follow established philosophies and faith. You can�t stand to see any suffering, which enable you to feel a kinship with all living things.
A long Finger of Jupiter, which is when it rises above the nail bed of the middle finger (where the nail starts). This suggests star qualities and strong self-confidence. You test your limits and believe that you never know unless you try. You take pride in yourself and your achievements. You are tough to ignore when you have something to say and will always seek new ways of doing things.
The average Finger of Jupiter is where the index finger is nearly the same size as the ring (third) finger. You enjoy being in control. You posses a strong sense of the dramatic and can be flamboyant in the way you express yourself. You tend to magnify your emotions and have a taste for the larger-than-life.
A short Finger of Saturn, considered so if it only reaches the top of the third (ring) finger. You tend to be old-fashioned and conservative and you like to stick to what you know rather than take chances on new ideas or practices. You hold onto your resources and prefer to make it on your own, never relying on others. Taking risks is difficult for you.
A long Finger of Saturn, straight and proud standing, reveals a love of schedules. You�re serious about your commitments, and don�t mind being alone. Work is very important to you and you are happiest when situations are orderly and structured. You�re a natural in management, and are known for your shrewdness, diligence and reliability.
A curved or bent Finger of Saturn is the sign of a collector, one who hoards and saves things. Your physical home and personal belongings represent security and stability to you. Highly critical of yourself, you might be inclined to undervalue your abilities.
If the Finger of Saturn has large knuckles it is saying that learning and scholarly pursuits are your greatest skills. You have plenty common sense about finances but has trouble with mundane things like remembering where your keys are. You are defensive about your rights. People are impressed with your ability to assert yourself, and they admire they way you defy any rule that interferes with your desires.
