| Minor lines, odd marks and whatnots� So we learned that a double line is a positive sign, strengthening and protecting the area represented by the line in question. A line that is forked is also positive which denotes a greater range of double nature of the line. The only unwelcome fork is on the Life Line�where it means an actual splitting off, indicative of an accident or severe illness. Little lines branching off major lines generally denote the influence of the line, finger, or mount they point to. Lines branching down show a depletion of strength of the line or an unfortunate turn of events. Stars are bad and crosses are worst! A star reveals an explosion of some sort; explosions are negative events. Unless the star appears on the Mount of Apollo, it means a sudden flash of celebrity. A star on the Mount of Saturn implies a terrible fatality. |

| Crosses are the most ominous signs of all. They express danger, disappointment and catastrophic change � we are talking about a �free� standing cross not a small line crossing a major line. If one appears on the Mount of Saturn, you will die violently, if on the Mount of Apollo, indicates a terrible fall from grace, financial ruin, or decrease talent. If a cross appears on the Mount of Mercury, it foretells suffering due to deception and if on the Mount of Mars, denotes that enemies will undo you! If on the Mount of the Moon, prophesies a fatal surrender to the imagination and if on the Mount of Venus, it promises a destructive love affair. Crossbars express obstacles and problems that must be overcome. Squares are good, they offer protection. Grills (looks like pound signs, #) denote obstacles we bring on ourselves. |
