Palmistry
Lesson Four

The Lines. Up until now we have been looking at the general character of the hand. Shifting our attention now, we are going to start looking at the lines of the palm. We will still be looking at character, but more to our fate. The lines fo Heart, Head, Life, and Fate will show how character plays itself out over time.

Everyone is familiar with the
Life Line, which begins at the wrist, near the base of the thumb and curves around he Mount of Venus. Many stare at these lines trying to calculate when they will die. Actually, the date of death is quite difficult to figure out, even when an abrupt break is seen, this denotes a trauma rather then death. If you divide your Life Line into ten equal lengths (being at either end) using a marker, then go to the middle, then divide those and so forth until you have ten marks. Each length represents about 7 years. This will give you an approximate time frame for the events you see on your Life Line, dont over emphasis a schedule, you could be off by about 7 years in any perdition!
As mentioned, a break in this line can indicate a severe illness or an accident, but equally worrisome is a weak line or chained line (one that looks like small links making the line). Since the Life Line reveals energy and life force, such weak lines shows low vitality and a disposition to illness and inactivity.

A deeply etched Life Line, free of breaks or tassels (lines barring off) assures a robust and fruitful life. You are a high-energy person who embraces challenge and opportunity. If the Life Line begins above the Head Line (above the Mount of Venus) it means that ambition and career will rule the your life. If the Life Line runs alongside or together with the Head Line, the head will direct the energies and you may tend to have a shrewd and intellectual character. If a Life Line emerges far below the Head Line this means your brain imposes no restraint on your energies. You may be impulsive and uninhibited. Some people seen to have two Life Lines, this is a positive omen, which implies double vitality and double protection. The outer line is the one to be read.
Small breaks may say you probably spend more time in contemplation than acting. You may feel your role is more one of helping others to lead, you need to assert your own ideas.

When the Life Line makes a wide sweeping curve across your palm, youre noble, sunny individual, and generous. You relate well to children and enjoy helping those who need you. Respect, being heard, love, and reliability are important to you. You give freely your time and money, and enjoy each day!

A Life Line beginning high under the index finger denotes a need for acknowledgment. Your ego is high, your ambition large. You cannot bear to have someone tell you what to do, or how to do it. You are an individualist. You may have some trouble disciplining yourself and focusing your abundant energy. Although you enjoy praise, its almost impossible for you to accept advice or acknowledge mistakes.

When the Life Line hugs the thumb closely you shy away from the spotlight. You enjoy helping others and tend to thing more about the greater good than of your won wants and needs. Although you are willing to stand up for yourself, you often fight the rights or others. More mental than physical, you are short on vitality, requiring a lot of rest when ill.
