| In order to understand and use your power, you need to be educated; here we cover telekinetic ability, clairvoyance, being empathic, precognition, and telepathy. You will learn a little about each, recognizing your skill and understanding how and when to use it. There will be tips and instructions to aid you better to RP this ability so not of offend anyone while role-playing. The biggest complaints we get is �miss-use� of mind powers. Here we hope to take care of any of these issues and you can then freely use your power properly. Almost everyone experiences some fo these powers occasionally in their lives. The more gifted or trained you are the stronger these abilities may develop. We first start with TELEPATHY. Telepathy, the word means literally, �remote feeling�, which would seem to make it the same as empathy, but telepathy is the word used for direct mind-to-mind communication of thoughts and images, rather then just feelings. Telepathy involves �hearing� the thoughts of others (�mind-reading), or being able to project your thoughts to others. Look at it this way; telepathy is direct transference of thought from one (sender) to another (receiver) without the usual sensory channels of communication, hence a form of extrasensory perception (ESP). |

| Telepathic abilities are connecting frequency with that which you want to �read�. It is like turning on a Muggle radio and finding the right station. YOU just have to know how to �turn in�. For a few people this skill comes easy, but on the norm, telepathy is never done through many, though they may try. Different meditation techniques and learning to focus the mind is the key. Once you open the door to telepathy, it should work like a light switch! You can turn it on and off by focusing your thoughts. RARELY does one find that they are bombarded by the thoughts of others all the time!! Telepathy between members of the same family or close friends is common as they learn to adjust to each other�s frequencies. There always seems to be one member of every family, usually a woman, who has psychic and telepathic abilities. Mother�s sense when children are in trouble is a good example. When in panic mode, the adrenaline flows and the telepathy kicks in to those tuned in to help you. Twins are often telepathic with each other creating these abilities when they are infants. They generally are in the same frequency at the same time and learn to communicate with words. Very often it is just about a single thought - hunger. Telepathy between twins or family members can remain for a lifetime. |
| For instance, there are times when you could be doing your regular chores around the house and all of a sudden you hear your inner voice telling you to contact your friend. The moment you hear his/her voice, the person tells you he/she was just thinking of phoning you. Such is a simple example of telepathy. Pets living with a family also show a high degree of psychic awareness with certain family members - not necessarily the person who brought the pet home - but the person the pet has the karma with - which is why the pet came into the family in the first place. People often sense the death of a family member. These make the most dramatic stories, heightened tension, and nick-of-time rescues. However, keep in mind that telepathic situations may be happening all the time, but we lack the awareness to recognize them. In times of crisis we sent out our message and those who are in tune will pick it up. So...you see, as one who can �read minds�, you cannot just go about reading everyone�s mind at will. YOU have to have some connection with this person, be it a family member and close friend. This then means, in your RPGs, you cannot go about reading everyone around you...it should only be those you are closest too. There is no exceptions... |
