We meet many other people in our dreams, some are straightforward representations of people we know, others represent, in a more abstract way, particular qualities, wishes, or archetypal themes; others again stand for aspects of the dreamer's won self. Sometimes a person in our dreams can mean all three things. Detailed analysis is often needed before you can pinpoint the exact function of a dream character and it can be identified.
Giants, in adult's dreams, may represent recollections of childhood, when all adults towered above them. For children the giant may be a symbol for present realities such as the frightening side of the father. But dream giants are awe-inspiring, not all of them are unfriendly. Some may symbolize the care and protection that the strong can give to the weak.
We know the Shadow represents all that the dreamer wishes not to be.

It is unhealthy to repress or neglect these components of your nature. Also, the alien may represent a situation your have recently experienced. The devil in your dream may personify your fear or repressed desires that have been buried in the underworld of the unconscious. In reality, the unconscious mind is not full of evil demons and satanic forces, it is your inner resource that gives energy and wisdom. Your own fear of the unknown prevents you from finding the wholeness and healing that the unconscious offers. The Devil may symbolize evil words and deeds that you or others have been displaying in waking life. What the devil fears most is light and love. Honesty and kindness may be the way to conduct your self to overcome the perceived evils that trouble you.

Fairy tales are full of rich psychological symbolism, and telling them can help children and adults express their inner most fears and hopes. For a man a fairy may symbolize the female aspect of his personality that can be connected for better psychic balance. Similarly, for women a fairy may represent either her femininity or her motherly side. Mystical meaning, some cultures believe that fairies are real beings that tend and direct the powers of nature. In dreams, it may actually be possible to communicate with these elemental powers.
Meeting famous people in our dreams may mean they represent the person you would like to be. Ask yourself what psychological characteristics and traits this person symbolizes for you.
