My name is Elegonye Remigius Iheanyichukwu; my academic and professional goals are intertwined and rely heavily on my academic credentials. Although I graduated as an accountant in February 2003, my goal is to remain within the field of Information Technology (IT) and to earn various professional certification in the PC Industry.  These professional certifications such as A+, Network+, MCSE, MCSA, Cisco CCNA, CDIA, Linux+ etc.  are imperative in order to advance into positions of greater responsibility and knowledge which is my ultimate aim. Although I have acquired a lot of experience in PC Operations, Upgrade, Repairs, Maintenance and Networking since February 1995 (7 years +) in the PC industry, I plan to earn my first professional certification by November 2003.

I have taught in various disciplines for several years, 9 to be precise.  I started teaching after I graduated from High School, first teaching Mathematics and Economics at St. Nicholas Institute of Commerce, and then at Ricdenis Computer College, where I taught Computer Operations and Desktop Publishing, finally at Citi Communications Limited where I am presently teaching PC repairs and maintenance, all in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria.

Being a Black male raised in Igbo Land, I know first hand the need for more positive Black role in our urban and rural cities as well as international.  There is also a great need for teachers and other professionals to help the less privileged members of our society to learn and understand the new "Technological World".  As a PC technician and instructor, I try to live up to that positive creed of being a role model, not only in my professional life, but my personal life as well.  This degree will enable me to obtain the tools necessary to help others.  Today's world has many new technologies that have changed the way many schools, institutions, businesses and governments operate.  It is therefore the responsibility of today's instructors to help bridge this "Technological Divide".
