| Life's Inside of Me January, 2000 I've stared into the eyes of fate, And shaken hands with death. I've sat with paupers telling tales Until I had none left. I've held the reigns of destiny And tugged them with my will. I've let it lead me here and there And maybe I should still. I've run the course a dozen times And will a dozen more. I've taken all it had to offer, Nothing to implore. I've watched the midnight oil bun Until the flame died out. I've started games knowing in the end I'd face the rout. I've loved where there was noe to find. I've given all I had. I've found the hope deep in despair, And happiness in sad. All in all, the world has shown That life, is what I see. All in all, the world has shown That life's inside of me. ~ the Professor |

| Sometimes in life, we are handed situations that we cannot begin to comprehend. We put our faith in something, and let that faith be our guide. I have learned that I can discover many answers simply by looking within myself. I have adopted many Buddhist practices and beliefs however have much faith that is rooted in Christianity. I have learned that it is more important, however, that we are true to ourselves, for that is what allows us to lead lives that are filled with love and understanding. |
