Advice on maternity clothing....
I love Motherhood Maternity! I got the best deals and I love their clothes. (jem0622) just buy the basics if you don't need a work wardrobe-a couple of T-shirts, 1 button-down
shirt, couple of jeans, 1 pr overalls, 1 dress. Accesorizing is key. (fairy9272) buy as you go. don't over do it! you will get so tired of these clothes, but it is such a temporary situation. make sure you have at least one pair of really
comfy pants that you can just relax in. also, make sure the cotton panel on your pants have room to expand at the point where it joins the pant material. i had one pair of pants that grabbed me at the top of my leg/underside of my belly
whenever i sat down. very uncomfortable! (kristin.g) Get a group of friends together to have a PregoBin. Whenever a newly prego mom announces her pg, then pass the Bin or Tub of clothing to her. (ozip)
Don't spend alot of money on clothes, you will outgrow very quickly. (toto8525) I never got big enough for maternity cloths (heidi_hibbit) Make sure and buy clothes that are a little bigger that you think you will need,
because by the end you want all the room you can get. (ruth_73) Great deals on E-Bay!!! (startoestudio) Don't buy a lot. Everyone will understand if you wear the same couple of outfits over and over. Also check out
Kmart. The outfit I got the most compliments on came from there and was cheap --- i should say inexpensive (petreece) I've been pg four times...I lived in stir-up pants (they don't have to be maternity) in the winter, drawstring
shorts in the summer, and oversized shirts. I would also get cheap plain solid colored maternity t-shirts and wear them with shorts or stir-ups and a oversized button up shirt (unbuttoned) to match. There are tons of things to wear
that are very reasonable in price. I think maternity clothes are WAY overpriced. (cl-mariap) Buy several comfortable, supportive bras. I used sports bras, and they worked well, but choose whatever works for you. Choose a few
pieces of clothing that can be mixed and matched and go for comfort. Choose items that make you feel good about yourself, because you never know when a hormonal shift is right around the corner. If you are comfortable with your appearance when
it happens, that is one less thing to be depressed about when the mood swing hits! (jacobsmomee) My favorite outfit was always a denim shirt and black leggings! Too comfy!! (bailey3)
