ADVISE ON POST-PARTUM DEPRESSION

Try to relax. Remember that no mom ever knows all the things in the world once the baby arrives. If you need help, then get it. If you feel overwhelmed or worn down, then ask for help and talk to your loved ones. (jem0622)

make sure you have someone to talk to available at all times. (fairy9272)

don't be afraid to cry in the first few months. becoming a mother is so hard....sometimes dh didn't understand why i was upset and i was unable to put it into words. if you can't get out of bed in the morning...get help! there is nothing to be ashamed of!   (kristin.g)

Find somebody to talk to. Try not to be alone because that's the easiest way to fall into sadness. Crying is always okay, but have a friend or family member that you can call on to help if you feel inconsolable.   (mj68)

It happens to even the most level headed, organized, loving moms! I didnt have it with my first but with my second baby. Get help early. Dont feel like a failure if you have to admit that your feelings are completely out of whack and you need help. Husbands really dont understand this condition. Talk to other women.   (ozip)

Have somebody to talk it out with (husband or friend). Write out all of your feelings, it really helps a lot. Cry when you feel like it.   (ruth_73)
