Here is what my body has been through....
I bounced back quickly in the physical sense. I bled for a good 3 weeks and I re-injured my tailbone in labor (oh boy did that hurt for a good 6 weeks or more). Because I am
breast feeding exclusively, I have not seen AF yet. My cup size has increased two times. I'm always tired. My nipples bled a little because I wasn't using my lanolin cream as much as I should have, and he was using me as a pacifier. (jem0622)
it's unbelievable what our bodies are capable of. i was lucky and had a fairly easy pregnancy and lost the weight pretty easily. don't focus too much on how much weight you gain or when you lose it. be amazed at what you can do. how does the
body know??? (kristin.g) Swelling, emotional roller coasters, pain, elation, joy, love, wonder and amazement! (mj68) 6 months of strict bedrest, Terbutaline (there is a special place in heaven for ladies who have
been on this!) 2 Csections, cysts, Progesterone suppositories, stretch marks, severe morning sickness...was it all worth it????????????? In a heartbeat! (ozip) My stomach looks like a road map! Silvery looking "healed"
stretch marks, flabby belly and a 5 inch scar in the vaginal hair but do you know what? I actually love my body when I see my 3 children playing together and I know they came from me. My yucky looking stomach is a badge of honour.
(_karen) My skin is stretched from the weight i gained and is permanetly scarred w/ stretch marks and i had to walk and sit just right for a couple weeks while my stitches healed. I bled for almost 2 months straight after delivery. And it
took me 2 or 3 months for my milk to dry up. (heidi_hibbit) You get stretched beyond belief when you are pregnant, but it does go back to almost the same before. I am now at the weight I was when I got pregnant (Charlotte is 4.5
months). (ruth_73) I gained 33 pounds. 1 week before delivering I got the flu and had it for 2 weeks. Yes, right through labor and delivery, and the first week of my first child's life. Then when she was just 1 week old, I tore
cartilage in my chest wall right behind my breast. This happened from coughing from the flu. So I was still sick, had a newborn and couldn't breathe or move. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT try this at home! I went on pain killers for a weekend which
my dh ragged on me for taking because I was breastfeeding. I took the drugs anyway, otherwise I probably would not be here. They knocked me out enough to get over the flu and my chest is till tender 18 weeks later (petreece) Nine
months of growing and nurturing a child, and nine hours of hard labor to bring him into the world. It is just now--4 months later--almost back to where it was pre-pregnancy. I am amazed at what my body can do. I have a new-found respect for
myself and my body. (jacobsmomee) I went through 8 months of pregnancy stretch mark free but when my baby dropped they were everywhere! So don't get your hopes up, they will probably show up. I was always tired and hungry and thirsty,
but overall I had a great pregnancy. I went through my first trimester without ever getting nauseous, but in my 4th month, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Just remember, no matter what your body is going through, this too shall pass and I can
promise you it is well worth it. And yes, eventually you will be able to wear a belt again. (esorrells)
