About me

Me with my girlfriend Brenda
Hello there, my name is Adrian, and I come from Malta which is a small island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. I am 17 years old, which means I am old enough to strap myself onto a microlight. I'm currently still studying at school. I am now attending my last year at Junior College after that I will hopefully go to the University where I would like to study Mechanical Engineering, and one time find a job as an aircraft engineer.
I have already taken introductory courses for a PPL, so I have a sound idea of aviation law, human performance, aircraft performance, basic navigation, basic meteorology and Forces of Flight, but I know I still have a lot to learn. Thanks to the course I already have a hands on flying experience in a Cessna 152. I have also learnt a lot from my friends who are members of the Island Microlight Club and Malta Aviation Museum Foundation. For all of you out there who want to learn more about aircraft, all I can say is 'join a club.'
I have always wanted to fly, but aviation here in Malta is very expensive. Owning a General Aviation aircraft can cost a fortune each year, but when I got introduced to microlights, by my friends Capt. Alex Dalli, and Capt. Mark Said, I thought that this is the ultimate thrill for me, and microlights make more sense for Malta.
Apart from flying I also like music, especially Dance music. I also play the piano, and I have ended my studies as well obtaining an 'O' Level certificate in music. I have now commenced flying, looking forward to obtaining my Private Pilots License.
