| The case regarding Michael Brown was another similar case of offense against an unarmed black man, but this time it was a White police officer who did the offending. In Ferguson Missouri, this time in broad daylight, Brown was walking down a street with a friend of his when he was approached by Darren Wilson, a police officer. Brown and Wilson had some kind of communication, presumably Brown was asked to move to the sidewalk. However, it ended with an altercation between Brown and Wilson that ended with Wilson getting out of the car, gun drawn, and chasing Brown. By the end of the chase Brown was dead, multiple gunshots connected with him. | The primary difference between this case and that of Trayvon Martin is that this one occured in broad daylight, in view of many people, with much more evidence to bring to the table. However, despite this fact the event ended in a similar fashion. A grand jury was called to decide wether or not Wilson could be indicted for his actions. The debate continued for about a week when the answer was finally given: No. So Wilson also walks free despite having shot and killed an unarmed black teenager. |
