New Stew

Slicing and dicing the meat,
Then quick fried,
On the sizzling searing heat;
The knife chops on in rhythm
Of boiling,
As bits and pieces fall in.
Meat from heat now it is brown
Gone the red,
In steaming water will drown;
Followed by the vegetables,
Chopped so fine,
Boiling fast as it’s capable.

Bread with out rising of yeast,
Coarse dark brown,
Richness of the meager feast;
Butter melting from the heat
Swirls of steam,
Intertwining as they meet.

Ale of foaming bitter brew,
Washes down,
After all the eating’s through.
