| Behind the former Iron Curtain in present day Budapest the Russian Maffia continues to create havoc under the ruling of the scrupulous Russian "Godfather" Darius Paskevik (Bob Hoskins). The desperate Hungarian premier wants Darius out of his country and pleads with the FBI for assistance. US agent Mike Varga (Stephen Dorff) goes under cover as a mole working for Darius and wins the "Godfather's" confidence, however complicating matters further, he inevitably falls for Katya (Laura Fraser), Darius' young and attractive daughter. The stakes are high, with nuclear detonators missing for Iraqi terrorists, suddenly Mike's life is on the line. With Darius' suspicions growing by the hour, the Russian government and FBI, especially agent Rob Shepard (Ian Hart), on his back and his love for Katya caught in the crossfire, Mike's loyalty becomes stretched to the limit. | ||||||||||||
