The concept for making this old fashioned car came from a magazine called "Better Homes and Gardens"

However it was modified, using whatever materials I could garner.

The wheels were pram wheels and while they worked well for straight running, they did not work very well when the children tried to do broadside stops.

The wheels were too narrow and the tyres rolled of the wheels. I will have to go back to the drawing board on that and use heavier wheels and axle bearings.

I am re-designing it to run from a chain and sprocket system similar to that used in bicycles.
