A Practicum on Fae

This class will be an in depth, upper level course in which we will delve deeply into the mythos surrounding magical creatures of fae descent.

Be forewarned that this course will require a lot of research. You will be asked to write essays on your research and to use and your imagination to answer thought provoking questions.

Although it is no way required, I recommend the purchase of at least one book describing different types of fairies or fae.

My personal favorite is  The Great Encyclopedia of Faeries by Pierre Dubois. This book cost about $25. If you cant or do not wish to buy a book you can still participate in the class. Your local library may have resources and there is lots of information on the web.

Two other books of interest are The World of Fairies by Gossamer Penwyche, and Good Faeries/ Bad Faeries by Brian Froud. Both have lovely illustrations.

Perhaps the best part of the class, and the reason it is a practicum course, is the lack of deadlines. You will be allowed to move through the lessons at your own pace. There will be no penalties for late homework. And you all know that you only get out of a class what you are willing to put in.
