COURSE REQUIREMENTS
ART 137: Color and Design 2

The objectives of this course ( pre-requisite ART 136 is required) are to employ creative processes, apply color theory, devise and manipulate modular designs, investigate texture and explore creations in the third dimension.
No textbook is required, but students will be expected to spend approximately $150 on  tools, materials and processes which will be specifiesd later. Ten hours per week, including class time, is an average of time needed to complete assignments. One group trip to a museum or a gallery or a written report may be required.  Attendance will be taken and 5 absences may result in a lowered grade. A passing grade on an examination of color nomenclature may be  required for a final grade of C or higher. With the above considerations, the final grade is based entirely on a semester's end conference with a portfolio representing all classwork, homework and extra work. Interim work and individual designs will be graded generally only upon the student's request.
