Many insects have a different chemistry in their retinas that enable them to see several "hues" in the ultra-violet range of the electromagnetic spectrum.  The gloriosa daisy, as it appears to the human eye (top), presents a different face (bottom, photographed under ultra violet light) to a pollinator: bees detect marks in a pattern of concentric circles, a "target's bullseye"  that lead to nectar.
