| Many insects have a different chemistry in their
retinas that enable them to see several "hues" in the ultra-violet range
of the electromagnetic spectrum. The gloriosa daisy, as it appears
to the human eye (top), presents a different face (bottom, photographed
under ultra violet light) to a pollinator: bees detect marks in a pattern
of concentric circles, a "target's bullseye" that lead to nectar.
