This is a portion of the chant, which lasts nearly 12 minutes.
The music, as is the Gothic Cathedral it was composed for, is constructed on the foundations of the past. The new rhythmic, polyphonic sound, and the taller, elaborate, other-worldly Notre Dame de Paris contain within them the history, the story of the earlier centuries of faith and worship in music and in architecture.
