Wayanad is a small district of Kerala which is also known as "God's own country".
It is lush green and wonderful place. Waynad district shares its border with Mysore
district in Karnataka. A small town called "Sulthan Bathery" is about 100 Kms away from
Myosre. It is a historical place where Tipu Sultan used to keep his ammunition. There is also a wild life sanctuary near by Sulthan Bathery. We went to see Edakkal Caves which are very ancient. One has to trek up the hill to see these caves. It was slightly risky but worth enjoying. We then went to a place called Mananthavady which is about 50 Kms away from Sulthan Bathery. There we went for a tough trek in Pakshipatalam. It was on a hill and we had to trek up 10 Kms.
