We booked the vehicle for 7 AM and it came at 8 AM. So, we went towards Tumkur. It was national highway 4. There is a place called Shivaganga 56 Kms from B'lore. It is a piligrimage and we could see a lot of people (aged and young both) there, may be because we went on the festival day. (14th Jan Makar Sankranti.). We have to climb up a lot around 3-4 Kms on a very steep hillock. On top of that there is a small Nandi and it is said that there are the "Jata of Shivji" and a small spring which is like Ganga coming out of it. Thats how the place named Shivaganga. The weather was quite good and also there was ralling on both the sides of the way so climbing up was not very difficult. But, it is very steep and rocky.
We took about 3 hours to go up and come back and then we took lunch at Kamat Hotel near by. It was a very nice lunch. Then we went to a place called Hessaghatta lake which is 26 Kms from B'lore and in the way from Shivaganga to B'lore. It was a dirty lake and there was nothing to see in it. So, we immediately left the place and went to another place called "Nrithyagrama" just a few Kms from lake. It is a place famous for classicla dance training. It is a very nice and calm campus. We found that they train students in Indian classical dance for 3 to 6 yrs. It was a very natural place.
We then left Nithyagrama at around 4 PM and were back to RRI at 5 PM exactly. Overall it was fine but a little tiresome because of climbing up the hillock.
