| Why should we read? Reading builds self-confidence. It confirms or rejects your opinion on any subject. The more varieties you read on the same subject, you can arrive at a good conclusion. Reading will improve your imaginative power and you can acquire talents in writing. Reading is a good hobby, but for professors like me it is more than a hobby. |

| What Should we read and why? I use to read books and materials for the following purposes. 1. To keep my career, I need to read lot of text books on the sujects I handle for the students. Unless I know, I can not stay in my profession. So I read all management books. 2. I read religious and literature books to liberating my soul. In my country, the literature and religious books go together. 3.I read books on variety of skills and knowledge like books on astrology, siddha medicine, computer, cooking, etc., 4. I read story books, which will tell about good deeds and secrets of success in life, including books for children. 5. Reading news papers and magazines to know the world around us today. This is important for sailing life in a comfortable way. |
