| TWO-POINT LINEAR PERSPECTIVE - Two-Point linear perspective also relys on three fundamental rules... 1) All lines which are parallel vertically to the picture plane remain constant. 2) Those lines which are not parallel to the picture plane, vertically, recede to the degree that they converge at a point on the horizon/eye-level line called the vanishing point. 3) All vanishing points must be located on the horizon line. |

| HOMEWORK - due at start of Class 28 October. Select a structure and draw it in two-point perspective. Do this in a picture plane that is 14" x 16" or slightly larger. You should approach this in the way that was demonstrated in the previous class. As you go about this, remember the rules of two-point perspective and be as accurate as possible. This is called Emperical Perspective. Record as much detail as possible and then take a photograph (if possible). I DO NOT WANT YOU TO USE A RULER OR WORK FROM THE PHOTOGRAPH. It is for you to bring into class on Tuesday in support of your drawing. It will serve as a reference. During next week's classes we will correct these drawings according to the rules of perspective. So it is important for you to come to class as prepared as possible. |
