JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK

Two deserts come together at Joshua Tree National Park. In the eastern part resides part of the Colorado Desert and features gardens of creosote bush, ocotillo, and cholla cactus. The Joshua tree has its habitat in the higher, moister, and slightly cooler Mojave Desert portion of this park. This California area was designated a National Monument in 1936 and a National Park in 1994. All photos are courtesy of Don Klosterman.

The midi is "Horse with no Name".
