| As you can see my old car was thrashed often which was very satisfying to do. The situation above was the result of Jonno's and my snow experiance. A full days driving in the snow being complete wankers to the public who use the roads to. Heres some specs on the car that may be of some interest:- Engine:- 3A-U 1482cc OHC Twin Throat (A bitch to tune) Power:- Not much (60hp?) lol Tyres:- Sport IV 185/60/14 Suspention:- Standard (Stuffed?) Clutch:- Standard (Stuffed?) Gearbox:- Standard Lights:- Hella spottys on the front giving good night time driving experiances. Drive format:- Front engined RWD Log as far as I can remember :) Well in the picture at the top of the page you can see clearly that I am stuck in a tricky place...the corner directly behind where I was trying to go sideways as so we could get some good pics of the car in the snow. (Which i'd never driven on b4!) It was quite wierd being able to hop in my car and be able to cope with conditions that other people that had been driving on for 20+ years couldn't cope with!!!! Anyway...I set her up and hooked the front right wheel over the edge and it pulled the car around but wouldn't let go so I ended up in the bank (no damage). That was close go number 1. Close go number 2 was 2months ago when I set the car up for a 90 degree corner on gravel and the cars back end flew out when under heavy breaking while doing 120kmph and managed to scrub off the extra speed while avoiding the 2m ditch on the inside. (Phew) Close go number 3 (nearly goodbye) was when I came down a gravel road at 85kmph (slow compared to what I usually drive like) and went through a cross road and left the ground and the car was 1/2 a metre off the ground and landed 8 metres after I took off, slamming the front into the dirt bending the chassis stuffing a shock (stuffed in the first place) and pushing a wheel back and dinting the sump. But the real dejavoi was that the thing kept on going?? How, I dont know but its bloody wierd!!! I went into a engeneer that I knew and he said I had bent the chassis and pushed the wheel back a bit. I got a wheel alignment and got the steering right again but the chassis was still bent so I got out a hammer and made it look as though nuthing had ever happened. The only downfall from the incident was that one day when I was driving in a 80kmph zone and someone pulled out to go down a side road on a corner. I put the brake on a tad and instantly the cars back end decided it wanted to slide out so I just slid it round the corner...wierd I admit! :) |
