This is the tale of one group giving a little to help a little guy out. Zach not being the wealthiest of kids was given a free pass Sunday 12-05-04. Zach had unfortunately lost control of his '86 mustang GT and hit a tree, causing enough damage to the frame that it was more cost effective to just buy another non-running mustang and swap his drive train over. However he chose a non-running 4 cylinder mustang convertible adding a whole new level of complexity. So in the spirit of the holidays and with the feeling like our own little 'OverHaulin" show about 20 or so of us AustinAreaStang'ers joined together to make this happen. Below are some pictures of the event and the final outcome several days later...
Starting off we had to remove everyting not needed from the New mustang. That's engine, transmission, and all the wiring to run that puny power plant. |
