Prodeco was appointed by Tencourts (the owning company) as project manager to build a brand new hotel in Schiphol-Rijk (NL). Prodeco has already build two hotels - Hotel Park Lane ***** and Hotel Carlton **** in Antwerp (B). As experienced project manager our task was to build a high class hotel starting from drawing, contacting all contractors, budgetting, ordering, coordination on site, ... until the hotel was handed over to Radisson SAS to be operated as the Radisson SAS Hotel Amsterdam Airport.

Hereby Prodeco managed to end this hotel project within the budget and two months ahead on schedule!

The project was started on the 2nd of February 1998 and was ready to operate on the 1st of September 1999: this means a hotel of 18.000 sqm with 279 airconditioned rooms and 27 meeting rooms build in less then 19 months!

Location:
The hotel is situated in a setting of parks, greenery and water. More specific: at the Business Park Schiphol-Rijk, also close to Aalsmeer village. In the immediate vicinity is the Schiphol International Airport, located 4km from the hotel, to and from which the hotel operates a shuttle bus every half hour. You can trade the rustic surroundings of the hotel for the dynamic city centre of Amsterdam, just 20 minutes away.
Other facilities: Amstelborgh golf club and Amstelpark tennis courts at 15km - Schiphol Plaza Shopping Centre at 10km from the hotel.

Rooms:
There are 279 air-conditioned rooms available. Each room contains a mini bar, coffee and tea making facilities, a safe, a trouser press and a hair-dryer. There are also the necessary computer connections, television, telephones and fax-facilities. All rooms features sprinklers and smoke detectors, air-conditioning with individual room controls and have separate luxurious bathrooms with its own telephone.
The rooms incorporate the latest technical novelties - for example, ISDN telephone lines for fax and modem connections. A keyboard with infrared remote-control provides simple, instant access to the world of the Internet via the television set!
Guests can enjoy the unique styling of three different room plans: Maritime, Scandinavian and Oriental.

Besides the standard rooms there are also the Business Class Rooms, Junior suites, Royal suite and Ambassador Suite offering extra space, comfort and additional communications and working facilities.
There are also separate rooms for the disabled and two non-allergy rooms (with parquet floors).

Nearby in the corridors, guests have access to ice cube machines and shoe shine machines.

Restaurant and bar:
You can enjoy elaborate lunches and dinners in the Mediterranean restaurant "Talavera". It is situated in the southwestern corner of the hotel so that it gets the full benefit of natural light fall, has a large outdoor patio and a garden.The restaurant itself is about 440 sqm and has a kitchen area of nearly 300 sqm!
In the bar "Rodolpho's", directly connected with the restaurant, light snacks are being served besides a wide choice of drinks. A 300 sqm surface and a separate kitchen area of 100 sqm offers many possibilities.

Health and fitness:
In a surface of over 400 square meters, with its abundance of aerobics and fitness equipment, sauna, steam bath, solarium and cardiovascular equipment, it is among the most modern health clubs in the Netherlands.
