Brad Pitt to Adopt Angelina Jolie's Kids - December 3rd, 2005 - Credit: People.Com

Brad Pitt has started the process to adopt Angelina Jolie's two kids, the actor's publicist said in a statement to PEOPLE. A legal petition to change the names of the children to Zahara Jolie-Pitt and Maddox Jolie-Pitt was filed in Los Angeles, according to publicist Cindy Guagenti. "Brad Pitt is in the process of becoming the adoptive father of both children," Guagenti said in the statement. There are no plans for marriage at this time, she added. Jolie, who is a single mom to Maddox, 4, and Zahara, 11 months, told PEOPLE at the first annual Worldwide Orphans Foundation benefit on Oct. 24 that she wants to adopt again. "I'm planning on it," Jolie said. "Most of the night I just thought about how quickly I want to adopt again. It's a very special thing. There's something about making a choice, waking up and traveling somewhere and finding your family."

Brad Pitt to Angelina Jolie: 'I Can't Live Without You' - November 13th, 2005 - Credit: Yahoo! Group angieism

The long distance, jet-setting relationship between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt may be taking its toll on the hunky actor if an item in the tabloid Celebrity Living, is to be believed. The mag reports that Pitt broke down while on the set of "The Assassination of Jesse James" in Calgary in an alleged panicked cell phone call to Angie. "I can't live without you," Brad reportedly pleaded to Angie in what is described as an animated cell phone call. Is this where one usually inserts the term whipped? Brad was reportedly distraught looking before getting Angie on the phone in the courtyard outside of the production office. He allegedly was struggling with his scenes before taking the break to make his phone call. Apparently just the sound of the sultry Jolie's voice got Brad back on track as the actor then reportedly calmed down and was back to work on the set according to a "source" cited by the tabloid. "He seemed calmed," after the call an onlooker spilled to CI. One other note from the magazine: Brad apparently spent "months" away fro Jen -ex, his former wife of four and a half years. Perhaps he doesn't want to go that route with Angie. Angie and Brad have been burning up the skies trying to spend as much time together as possible as he works on this film in Canada and Ang works on "The Good Shepard" in New York.

Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt Share 'Rare Love' - November 13th, 2005 - Credit: Yahoo! Group angieism

It's been but a few months since Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. But now Brad's marriage with star Jennifer Aniston is over and the couple is reportedly living together in Brad's Malibu beach house and is headed to the altar sometime soon. There was even one very unconfirmed report last week that the couple has already married. Not true said a publicist. One thing is certain, paparazzi are catching Brad, Angie and kids Maddox and Baby Zahara more and more in candid shots. The latest were on the beach just outside of Brad's Malibu pad. A friend of Brad's dishes to the tabloid Life & Style that Brad and Angie have "a rare love going on." The source claims "they even finish each other's sentences." (For the record, that's quite common among couples in love). "I have never seen Brad happier than when he is when Angelina is curled up beside him and the kids are on his lap." That really does appear to be the case from the shots. They are spending nearly every hour together and Brad is indeed playing the Daddy figure quite well in every picture that is snapped. Is that rare love? Time will tell.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie found out that the paparazzi are not the only wildlife hounding the couple even into the deep woods of Canada. With the kids in tow, instead of finding a cameraman in a tree trying to get a money shot - the couple stumbled upon a pair of Canadian brown bears as his new ready made family returned to their rented and isolated cabin. Perhaps it was merely a sympathetic response to his recent display of Grizzly Adams facial hair. But the National Enquirer reports that things got wild and woolly for Brad Pitt (and Angelina and the kids). That's because Pitt found himself face-to-face with some unwanted intruders in the house he's renting in the Canadian woods near Calgary: two burly brown bears. The Legends of the Fall guy hustled the family back to the car, where he called Ranger Smith to shoo Yogi and Boo Boo away. The Smokies reportedly lectured Brad about not leaving windows open to tempt the beasts with the smell of all the goodies inside. We bet those bears almost make the paparazzi seem human by comparison.

Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt Nude on Canvas in 'Temptation' Pose - October 29th, 2005 - Credit: The National Ledger

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are rumored to be considering posing naked for a magazine cover to show off their fabulous bodies. The pair still won't talk about their relationship, but that didn't stop American pop artist, Robert Delgadillo from painting the pair on canvas. And get -this - the artist portrays the couple as Adam and Eve. Hello! Magazine has a short item in a web story that reports that Delgadillo has placed the sexy couple in a picture and they have now "been immortalized on canvas in a painting." The picture portrays the gorgeous couple as Adam and Eve, and is called 'Temptation.' That means Angelina Jolie naked, and Brad Pitt naked. And - if it follows the Biblical story accurately, Angie will be the temptress and Brad will succumb to her misguided wishes. Or is that reading too much into it?

Jolie wild at engagement leak! - October 29th, 2005 - Credit: HTTabloid.com

Hollywood beauty Angelina Jolie is furious with her Beowulf co-star Ray Winstone for leaking out news about her alleged engagement to Brad Pitt. Rumours have been rife the smitten couple are set to tie the knot but the pair have remained tight-lipped. However Winstone let the cat out of the bag when he told the press, "She's getting married isn't she? Yes, she is". . Most of Angelina and Ray's scenes also feature Anthony Hopkins, John Malkovich and Crispin Glover, so Robert risks losing these big names unless he reconciles the feuding pair," a source was quoted by Hollywood.com. An insider claims the Tomb Raider star is furious because she and Brad weren't ready to go public with their plans. "They weren't ready to announce their wedding plans. They had hired Tom Cruise's ex-PR guru Pat Kingsley to improve their love-rat reputations before they went public. So the film's on hold until Angelina and Ray settles their differences They're both so stubborn no one knows who'll win," the source added.

Jolie to Face Zahara's Mom in Court - October 1st, 2005 - Credit: Hollywood.com

Angelina Jolie has been inadvertently placed at the center of an adoption scandal in Ethiopia after a teenager claiming to be the mother of the actress' baby Zahara has been found alive and well. Adoption papers stated little Zahara's mother was dead but now British newspaper The Sun has tracked down 18-year-old Mentaweb Dawit, who claims she's the little girl's mom. Dawit has no plans to challenge Oscar-winner Jolie over the adoption; instead she praises the actress for giving her daughter the chance for a good life, stating: "I want to say thank you to Angelina for giving my baby this wonderful, loving family." But, under Ethiopian law, Jolie must reapply for her adoptive rights because the initial paperwork was incorrect. Ethopian adoption law expert Belay Ketema tells tabloid the National Enquirer, "The adoption could be illegal because the law in Ethiopia says that if the mother is still alive she must give her consent and in this case that may not have happened. "The adoptive mother must appear in court to nullify the old papers and re-apply for adoption. The baby's mother must also appear to give her consent." Dawit, a seamstress, claims she fell pregnant after she was raped and always planned to give up the baby for adoption. Sources allege Dawit's mother Almaz Blfnhe told adoption authorities that her daughter had died in childbirth.

Brad And Angie Going Public? - October 1st, 2005 - Credit: Yahoo! News UK

Could Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie be ready to admit that they're a couple? New pictures of the pair behaving like romantic teens have emerged just weeks before Brad's divorce from Jennifer Aniston becomes official. Riding his 'n' hers motorbikes, the Mr And Mrs Smith stars sped up to Safeway supermarket in Edmonton, Canada. (Yes, we did say the Hollywood A-listers were visiting Safeway.) After stocking up on crisps and pop, Angie seemed to have a bit of trouble with her bike. According to passing shoppers, she called to Brad: "Baby, come over here." The well-trained gent leapt to her aid and got her motor running in no time. The Tomb Raider actress was visiting the set of Brad's latest film, The Assassination Of Jesse James, with son Maddox and daughter Zahara. "They don't appear to be hiding their romance any more and seemed more than happy for people to see them together," said one shopper. However, both celebs have denied reports that they are together.

Jolie, Damon and De Niro joined actress ALI LARTER and jazz musician WYNTON MARSALIS at the Red Cross centre in New York, where the show was staged. Americans gave more than $7 million (GBP3.3 million) during the telethon. Marsalis, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana - which was caught in the eye of the storm - was delighted with the generosity of Americans, but urged them to give more. Angelina Adopts Again - July 6th - Source: Charlie Amter, Eonline.Com

Forget Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie has a new special someone in her life: a daughter. If all goes according to plan, the Oscar winner and all-around do-gooder will by week's end finalize the adoption of an Ethiopian orphan whose parents were killed by AIDS. Jolie broke the news to People magazine, announcing that the name of her soon-to-be daughter is Zahara Marley Jolie. The 30-year-old actress declined to reveal the baby's age, weight or length, but said that she and three-year-old son Maddox, whom she adopted from a Cambodian orphanage in 2002, are "very happy to have a new addition to our family." The twice-divorced Jolie has frequently discussed her desire to adopt another child. After a trip to Ethiopia earlier this year in her capacity as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, she said, "My son is in love with Africa, so he has been asking for an African brother or sister." Jolie, her son and her Mr. and Mrs. Smith costar Pitt made a trip to the Horn of Africa last week, Hadosh Halefom, head of the country's state-run adoption agency, told the Associated Press. The child "is less than a year old," Hadosh said, adding that the adoption will be official within two days. The actress filed her request through a private adoption agency. Such adoptions typically run about $20,000. Hadosh told the wire service that Jolie had met the 10 conditions for adopting a child from Ethiopia. "The two most important are economic capabilities and check with the police," Hadosh said. "Although she is a film star, she still has to meet the same requirements as everybody else." The country, wracked by AIDS, war and famine, has more than 5 million orphans among its population of 70 million. The country has streamlined adoption procedures while enacting strict laws to ensure the safety and health of the children (all of whom are AIDS-free). Jolie's camp is quick to downplay any connection between the adoption and her burgeoning friendship with Pitt. "This has nothing to do with her relationship with Brad Pitt. People are going to try to say it's about their relationship. But it's not. Angelina's adopting as a single mother, and she wants that emphasized," a source "close to Jolie" told People. The magazine just scored photos of Jolie and Pitt together at her estate in Buckinghamshire, England. The actors are seen strolling around and talking, and in one series, a shirtless Pitt is pictured showing Maddox the finer points of dirt-bike racing. Jolie and Pitt have been rumored to be romantically involved since shooting Mr. and Mrs. Smith, something both actors have denied, even though they have been spotted together in recent weeks following his split with Jennifer Aniston. Jolie and Pitt were on hand for the Live 8 concert in London, which sought to raise awareness for all the socioeconomic problems in the developing world, particularly Africa. "With all that we have in the world, we can fix what is happening in Africa, we can save lives, we can turn it around," Jolie told reporters after the event. Jolie gets back to her day job next month, shooting the CIA drama The Good Shepherd opposite Matt Damon.

Screen beauty Angelina Jolie denied she is pregnant during yesterday's Live 8 concert in Cornwall, southwest England, following a flurry of media reports to the contrary. The rumours started when the 30-year-old beauty was photographed shopping for baby items with her adopted son Maddox, three, and her MR And Mrs Smith co-star Brad Pitt, who she has been romantically linked to ever since they were snapped enjoying intimate moments on a Kenyan beach in Africa in April. An onlooker at London's Harrods department store told Britain's The Sun newspaper, "Angelina spent the best part of two hours looking around the babywear department. She was wearing a long black coat as if she was trying to hide her body from prying eyes. "She kept touching her midriff and holding her stomach as if she was comforting herself. She spent a lot of time looking at cots and spent a small fortune on clothes for newborn babies." However, Jolie emphatically told journalists at the Eden Project's Calling Africa concert, "I am not pregnant."

Angelina Jolie denies having spent birthday with Pitt - Source: Xinhua

BEIJING, June 11 -- Angelina Jolie issued a brief press release Friday to deny rumors that she had celebrated her thirtieth birthday (June 4) with Pitt at a secret location in New York, where the couple was seeing canoodling and eating food out of each other's mouths.
Jolie, who co-stars with Pitt in the comedic thriller "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," said she spent her birthday alone in her New York hotel suite.
"Apparently Brad forgot my birthday, despite all the hints I gave him," said Jolie. "I wasn't too happy about 'celebrating' by myself, watching a movie on HBO and ordering a salad from room service. If I'd had a gun, I'd have shot him."
During the entire time they were in New York to promote "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," Pitt and Jolie were not seen, much less interviewed, together.
By prearrangement neither interview contained questions about the stars' personal lives or their love scenes in "Mr & Mrs. Smith."

Brad & Angie Vacation In Africa - Source: E! Online

Lover's Getaway? Denial could be more than a river in Egypt. Maybe it's also a romantic getaway in Kenya, or something, because that's where Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had a clandestine rendezvous, according to Us Weekly. Well, not that clandestine, because the mag has 12 pages of exclusive photos (paparazzi price tag: $1 million). The shots are not screamingly provocative but seem to show some kind of intimacy between the pair--or at least a willingness to go the extra mile (or 10,000) to promote their upcoming sexy assassins picture, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. In Touch, without the benefit of those photos, amps up the Jennifer Aniston angst factor, with sources saying, "Jennifer was devastated" and "between sad and mad" after she saw the photos, which first appeared in the British tabloid the Sun (and then whipped across the Internet). When asked about Pitt by Us, Jolie said he was "fine." That's an understatement if we ever heard one. And she's none too shabby either! As to how a photog found the Brad and Angie halfway around the world at an exclusive resort with a reputation for discretion, the Star suggests Angelina's people leaked the location of her meeting with Pitt for extra publicity. Aw c'mon, they wouldn't do that, would they?
