| Born in the Bronx, New York on the 24th of July 1970, Jennifer Lopez is one of the most talented latin stars of today. When she was young she wanted to pursue a career in the musical theatre. She toured in Japan and Europe Synchronicity and Golden Musicals of Broadway. Jennifer's big break came in 1990 when she was offered a part on the television series In Living Colour. She then wen for a part on Janet Jackson's video for That's The Way Love Goes and ended up being offered a place as a dancer on Janet's World Tour, but pulled out a few days before the tour began. She decided to pursue her acting career instead. She starred in the series Second Chances and then Malibu. In 1995 she made her big screen debut in The Money Train, starring alongside Woody Harelson and Wesley Snipes. She also starred in Blood and Wine, Jack and Mi Familia. It was her role in Selena that shot her into stardom and started her music career. In 1997 she married Ojani Noa but the marriage lasted less than a year. She went on to star in U-Turn, Out of Sight and Antz. She also starred alongside Sean 'Puffy' Combs and Marc Antony on their respective videos. Jennifer's first album, On The 6, was named after the train she caught from the Bronx to Manhattan. It had many hits, such as: If You Had My Love, Waiting For Tonight and Let's Get Loud. Her new album is called JLO and the first single from the album, Love Don't Cost A Thing, was an instant hit. Her latest movie, The Cell, recieved great reviews and she has two new movies coming out in 2001, The Wedding Planner and Angel Eyes. Look forward to those.
