START WITH ONE ROUGH BODY, TRIM OFF EVERYTHING THAT'S NOT REQUIRED, CLAMP TO FRAME, TRIAL FIT FENDERS AND NOSE-PIECE, A TRIP TO THE BEADBLASTERS...... As there were no rocker panels on the body, new 'Z' sections were fabricated from 10 gage sheet metal to form sill plates and provide a place for body mounts. These were welded to the 'A' and 'B' pillars once the body position was determined and the door gaps established. The firewall, wheel wells and trunk floor were also trimmed before blasting.
