Cam stood out in the middle of the street, unable to shake the images of the past hour out of his head. What had started as a normal day had quickly turned into a nightmare. Not only was his father still unaccounted for, but now the Academy was in ruins and all the students were gone.

It wasnt hard to figure out who was responsible. The trail of purple slime was practically a calling card. But how did Lothor manage to escape the Abyss? And what happened to his father?

His train of thought was suddenly broken by an incoming ninja streak. Hunter. Cam said, as the Thunder Ninja came to a stop.

Good to see you. Hunter said, pulling Cam into a quick hug.

Thanks for coming. Cam said, returning his embrace. Breaking apart, the two began to walk down the center of the street. Sorry to call you away from your students.

I thought it must be important. Hunter replied, holding up his communicator. I was hoping that we would never have to use these things. Cam nodded in agreement.

So, you think its Lothor? Hunter asked.

It has to be. Cam confirmed. Who else leaves purple slime in his wake?

You reach the others?

Theyre not responding. That worried Cam nearly as much as his fathers disappearance. As soon as he discovered that the Academy had been attacked, he had tried to contact Tori, Shane and Dustin, but got no reply. Thankfully, Ninja Ops had managed to remain undetected, so Cam was able to track the signal on their communicators to the town of Reefside. Fearing the worst, Cam had asked Hunter to join him there.

Cams fears were soon realized as the two came across dozens of people running towards them in terror. Instinctively, the two rushed into a nearby alleyway. Leaping onto a nearby rooftop, Cam and Hunter began to survey the situation.

This cant be happening. Hunter stated, as he stared in shock at what caused the panic in the streets. The Wind Rangers, fully morphed, were leading a group of Kelzaks and two fierce looking monsters through the streets of Reefside.

We have to find Blake, Cam told him; his eyes not moving from the street below. We are going to need his help.

Shimazu chased them. Foolish Samurai. What are they trying to gain by running around in the woods? He shook his head. His prey must know that he is trailing them and is trying to wear him out. Well, no more!

Shimazu raced forward. He whipped out his pipe. Notes echoed off of the trees. He knew the Wolfblades would be there within seconds. He was not surprised when all three of his prey turned and drew swords as one. He was not even surprised that the old man, the true Samurai, held not only a katana, but a wakizashi as well. He was going to take down a Samurai and two students. He would have the glory of the old days.

The old man caught his attack. The Wolfblades came from all sides. Wait! Therere three! The third had been in the Abyss, how did he get free?

Blake streaked through the streets of Reefside at breakneck speed. He never heard the beep of his communicator over all the commotion from his latest win. Not to mention he was distracted by the girl, Kira. Blake was glad to see that she had taken him up on his offer to bring her friends, Conner and Ethan, along, and that they were able to see a good race. He only hoped that his abrupt exit didnt raise too many questions. It wasnt often that he was called in to help his friends, so he knew this had to be bad. Blake only hoped he was not too late.

Coming to a stop, Blake was happy to see his brother and Cam in one piece. But where were Tori, Shane and Dustin?

Blake. Hunter turned to his brother. Its good to see you.

I got here as fast as I could. Blake explained to his friends. Whats up?

Weve got trouble. Cam stated. Big trouble.

Looking down at the street, Blake understood exactly what Cam was talking about. The three Wind Rangers were leading a group of Kelzaks in a fight against another group of Rangers. This isnt possible! Blake stated, watching as two of his closest friends, as well as the woman he loved, ferociously brought their opponents to their knees. How did this happen? He asked, turning to Cam.

Im not sure, Cam replied. Somehow, Lothor has managed to free himself from the Abyss of Evil and he has Shane and the others under his control.

But why come here? Hunter asked, refusing to take his eyes off the street. And who are these other Rangers?

Power Rangers Dino Thunder, Cam answered. Blue Bay Harbor isnt the only town dealing with monster attacks, you know.

Ive heard of them, Blake interjected. A few of the locals were talking about them back at the race. They appeared here in Reefside a few months ago.

It would certainly explain why Lothor came here, Hunter concluded. He would want to eliminate any potential threat. Just like he did with the ninja academies.

That and he would want to draw the three of us out into the open. Cam added.

So what can we do? Blake asked, trying to hide the desperation in his voice as he watched the Dino Rangers retreat from the scene. We cant take on three Power Rangers without our powers.

We dont have a choice, Cam stated, turning his back from the street as the Wind Rangers streaked off into the horizon. We have to go back to the Abyss of Evil. We have to get our powers back.

Cy looked around. Cam was going to freak when he saw this. Another general and his army - the three Blades were attacking students. Cy countered an attack heading for Mei Lien. Mei Lien dropped her Samurai form and began using Ninja skills. The earth swallowed the grey Blade to his waist. The brown one started to dig him out. Cy focused on the third.

Out of the corner of his eye he caught the image of his grandfather throwing Shimazu back. As he glanced back, he saw the half buried Blade knock Mei Lien hard off of her feet. The third began to charge her.

Cy charged him. He cut him to the left and scooped up Mei Lien. She was winded but still conscious. Shimazu was getting up now. The two Blades pulled the grey one from the ground. Cy didnt like how this was going.

He backed over to where his grandfather braced for another attack. He let Mei Liens feet touch the ground, but still supported her. He glanced back at the Sensei. The old man was winded as well, but still on his feet.

Retreat now and follow them? Cy whispered.

Its our best shot at the moment. We have to keep our heads above water, especially after seeing what we saw at the Academy, the old man nodded.

A flurry of motion caught their attention as Shimazu led his Blades away.

They had us. So why did they run off? Cy shrugged.

Maybe they thought we had them. Mei Lien whispered through staggered breath, as she leaned heavily on Cy.

Marah and Kapri stood at the back of Lothors new throne room. The cave could hardly compare to the ship. It was definitely low-tech. But a lairs a lair, Marah supposed. If Uncle had his way though, he would be moving to much better accommodations very soon. And by that he meant ruling the world.

So it looked like it was up to her sister and her to prevent that from happening.

They already had a plan. Kinda. They didnt know where Cam was, but theyd found Sensei. Uncle was holding him prisoner in another part of the cave. As soon as they had a chance, they would rescue him so he could help the others help the Winds.

And speaking of the Winds, they had just returned from fighting some other Rangers. Dino Rangers, she heard them called. Kapri had told her that Cam had mentioned them before, and that he knew their tech person, Hayley.

From the sound of things, Dustin and the others had beat them but good. Marah kinda felt sorry for the other Rangers. She had fought against the Ninja Rangers enough to know how powerful they were. And that was when they were nice, and not all evil and stuff.

Uncle asked the Rangers how it had gone, then turned to ask for their opinion as well. Neither sister knew quite what to say, and started talking over each other.

Unfortunately this hacked Uncle off. Or maybe it was fortunate because he sent them out of the room so he could nap. Perfect! It was all Marah could do to not jump up and clap as they scurried from the room. Now was their chance to rescue Sensei!

As they left the room they were passed by some cranky lady in black. She went into Lothor's throne room which Marah knew was so not a good idea. Marah motioned to Kapri to stop, and they snuck back to listen.

The cranky lady was extending an offer to team-up from her boss. Some guy named Mesagog. Marah had heard of the guy before, and if she remembered correctly, he looked like a lump of soggy oatmeal. Icky to the extreme.

Marah turned to go, back to the rescue mission. But Kapri stayed at the doorway, and motioned her back, like whatever she had heard was way not good.

Uncle would never team-up with anyone. Would he?
