Loops Up, Loops down, and Around

I learned to tie my shoes today,
Loops up, loops down, and around.
Then take one loop from each side,
pull them up, and knot them down.

I bet you're wondering who taught me this-
my wonderful, loving big brother.
But wait, I think he taught me wrong
because I tied my shoes together!
