For the past several years I've been collecting CD's upon CD's of Scary Sounds, some of them I just downloaded off the Internet. I've been enjoying this little hobby since I was 7 years old. Here is a collection of CD's that I have and bought. Also if you want any of these albums I'll be glad to rip them into MP3 and send them to you through email.

CD Collection:

Scary Sounds of Halloween CD front cover Scary Sounds of Halloween

Runtime: 28 minutes

It's only one track long and lasts less than a half-hour, but the Scary Sounds of Halloween CD at least lives up to its name. Found on this CD are plenty of monster sounds, howling wind noises, screaming victims, and who-knows-what? all doing their best to frighten the listener. The entire CD flows together like one giant scary soundtrack, and if you're planning to throw a haunted house or spook trick-or-treaters, this CD will certainly do the, umm, trick. Just remember to hit the CD player's repeat button.

Haunted Horror Sounds CD Front cover Haunted Horror Sounds

Runtime: 1 hour

This album follows some good advice: "keep it simple, stupid." Haunted Horror Sounds restrains itself, and as a result it doesn't engage in the kind of silliness and melodrama that mark many others of its type. On the other hand, it also doesn't risk much in terms of being scary, so it isn't very involving. There's some nicely creepy music near the end, though, and its sound of a child crying is mildly unnerving.

Horror Sounds Front CD Horror Sounds

Runtime: 1 hour

This CD has not real information so I'll just put my information on it. Its almost 1 hour of sounds, from crying, thunder, wolves, glasses breaking. Its just any normal Halloween CD. But its not that scary, it does seem like it was all done through a sound booth. Its a cheap CD that I bought at Rite-Aid. Its a good CD either way, it gives you a large variety of sounds if you're wanting to throw a Halloween party.

Goosebumps - Sounds of Halloween CD Front Cover Goosebumps - Sounds of Halloween

Runtime: 42 minutes

The old TV show that I believe no longer runs anymore, this starts off with the Goosebumps theme song, then leading into the scary sounds. What's good about this CD is that it doesn't go off repeating itself, its just 42 minutes of sounds and ambience which is good for any kind of Scary Sounds CD.

Halloween Sound of Horror (Remixed) CD Halloween Sound of Horror (Remixed)

Runtime: 1 hour

This CD is about the same audio that you're listening right now at the bottom of this website, but its with added sound effects which rather get kind of annoying. Plus its repeated over and over again for 1 hour, its an okay CD if you're wanting something different than the cassette rip that I did of this which you are hearing now. Sometimes even the sounds on this CD are kind of distorted due to it being too loud.

Halloween Sounds of Horror CD Front Cover Halloween Sounds of Horror - 45 minutes

Martha Stewart Living - Spooky Scary Sounds For Halloween Martha Stewart Living - Spooky Scary Sounds for Halloween

Runtime: 40 minutes

From the unmistakable scrape of knives being sharpened to the rattling clang of rusty chains, what's here is perfect for goose bumps. A laugh so sinister that it could only issue from the larynx of a lunatic comes near a witchy cackle, howling winds, thumping human heartbeats, and the hair-raising rustling of branches. This is not for scaredy cats (nor for most kids under 6), but it's apt to play a sizable part in serving up a well-deserved scare to those in search of an authentic case of Halloween creeps.

Halloween Spooky Sounds CD Cover Halloween Spooky Sounds

Runtime: 57 minutes

This CD sounds kind of old, probably from one of those old records, but its a mixture of Scary Sounds of Halloween, and some other things. It even plays some weird funky music on it. If you like collecting like me it would be a really good add on to your collection of scary sounds. The last part of it was rather from a good CD called A Night in a Graveyard/ A Night in a Haunted house. I think that is the name of it.

Son of Scary Sounds CD Cover Son of Scary Sounds

Runtime: 54 minutes

A mixture of Scary Sound effects divided into their little own tracks. Sometimes having all these tracks can be a little weird, its not like the other CD's that have one track for the entire thing. It has some rather goofy sound effects not as good as the really old scary sound effects CD's you get back in the 90's. I would say this CD is mostly for younger kids who are looking to listen to some good Halloween Scary Sounds.

Scary Sound Effects - Nghtmarish Noise for Halloween Cover Scary Sound Effects Nightmarish Noise For Halloween

Runtime: 43 minutes

A mixture of Scary Sounds, all again with different tracks, not just 1 simple track which seems to be a lot better because its one file and not a whole bunch of files put together. Its rather good, with different types of Sound effects, but I would consider this if your a large collector of these things, just to have different kinds of sound effects to add if you're making a haunted mansion or something for Halloween.

Halloween Sounds of Horror CD Cover Halloween Sounds of Horror

Runtime: 32 minutes

Yet another mixture of sounds probably taken from other CD's, but yeah it seems to try to copy other Scary Sounds soundtracks, which is why you get a lot of angry customers who buy it and actually find out its basically the same thing but with added things to it. A waste of 9 bucks in your pocket I'd say. But sometimes they usually have nice covers or nice CD covers for it. But beware of CD's like this.

Trick or Treat Trick or Treat

Runtime: 24 minutes

I feel that this might be probably the worst set of CD's ever, even though it has a nice cover, what it contains is rather disappointing, it just has 24 minutes of Sound effects, it seems like a wasted effort, and the tracks are really short like maybe around 1 minute for each track, but its probably a terrible waste of time. They don't even mix all these tracks together to get something worth listening to.

Halloween Sounds of Horror CD Cover Halloween Sounds of Horror

Runtime: 1 hour

This is yet again another disappointing CD that really doesn't seem all that scary. They even have to reverse some sound effects to make it seem weird. But they did a terrible job. If you listen to all the tracks I've listed you'll notice some they took of those.

Cassette Collection:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Halloween Sounds of Horror

Runtime: 32 minutes

Since this was recorded from the cassette it sounds rather okay. What you're hearing right now while viewing this website, this is the cassette you're listening to. It has some good sound effects, a good amount of effort than the two CD's above this. Its rather a good listen.

Horrible Sounds of Halloween Horrible Sounds of Halloween

Runtime: 9 minutes

Its cheap yeah, but it has some good effects on it. Ripped from the cassette tape onto MP3 it delivers what you need in a 9 minute tape. Also the picture at right is not really the actual cover its just something I found to replace it with.
