This Institution started by Management of Vedchhi Pradesh Seva Samiti, Valod, Dist. Surat, Gujarat state in July 1981 as full fledge Fine Arts College recognized by Govt. of Gujarat with permission of Four Faculties as

(A) Art Teacher's Diploma (A.T.D.) Two years.

(B) Diploma in Drawing and Painting Five years.

(C) Diploma in Applied Art (Commercial Art) Five years.

(D) Diploma in Sculpture Five years.

Sculpture Department closed in 1983 for none of a single students take admission.

In 1986 June such Institution Transfered with Permission of Govt. of Gujarat in "FFAAGG" Folk Arts Fine Arts and Action Group Gujarat Public trust located by river side Tapti at Mandvi, Dist. Surat. Namely "Priyadarshini Kala Mahavidyalaya Mandvi" dist: Surat (Gujarat state), With Three Faculties Including Art Teacher's Diploma(A.T.D.), Two years Duration Course after Higher Secondary pass marrit base by Central Admission Scheme of Education Department of the Govt. of Gujarat intake of 50 per. class.
