Tae Kwon Do

I have started with Tae Kwon Do, since I was 7 years old. I always wanted to learn how to fight. I think it is so cool, if a girl knows to fight and protect herself. Right now I'm Black Belt(2nd Dan) in Tae Kwon Do and I have been doing this sport for more than 10 years and I Have been the National Champion of Suriname for several years.

My Inspiration

This is will sound weird. But the women who inspirated me to do a fighting sport is Cena, The Warrior Princess. I always adored her, she was sooo cool, because she always defeated all te men. So I wanted to learn to fight and protect myself, just like Cena.

Well, Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial art and the national sport of South Korea. In Korean, tae means "to strike or break with foot"; kwon means "to strike or break with fist"; and do means "way,""method," or "art." Thus, taekwondo may be loosely translated as "the art of the foot and fist" or "the art of kicking and punching."
